Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Mix warm milk, melted butter, and egg in a bowl. In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt; gradually add to wet ingredients. Knead until smooth and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
  2. Make the Cheesecake Filling: Beat softened cream cheese with sugar and vanilla in an electric mixer bowl until smooth. Fold in chopped strawberries and strawberry jam.
  3. Roll Out Dough: Once risen, roll out dough on a floured surface into a rectangle (about ¼ inch thick).
  4. Add Filling: Spread cheesecake filling over the dough evenly; sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon mixture. Roll tightly from one long end into a log and cut into 12 pieces.
  5. Bake Rolls: Place rolls in a greased baking dish; cover and let rise for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Prepare Cream Cheese Glaze: Mix softened cream cheese and butter until smooth; gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Adjust consistency with milk if needed.
  7. Glaze Rolls: Drizzle cream cheese glaze over warm rolls before serving.
