  • 100 grams Domino® Golden Sugar
  • 4 grams egg white powder (optional)
  • 100 grams egg whites
  • 105 grams almond flour
  • 105 grams Domino® Powdered Sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups Domino® Powdered Sugar (187 grams) for icing
  • 1 tbsp meringue powder for icing
  • 4 tbsp water for icing
  • 2 drops black gel food coloring
  • 1 drop yellow gel food coloring
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (63 grams) for buttercream
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (113 grams)
  • 1/4 cup Domino® Golden Sugar (50 grams) for buttercream
  • 1 1/4 cup Domino® Powdered Sugar (156 grams) for buttercream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract for buttercream
  • 1/2 tbsp milk or plant-based cream for buttercream
  • 1/4 cup desiccated coconut (shredded (50 grams))

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, sift together almond flour and powdered sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add golden sugar and whip until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the dry mixture into the meringue until well combined.
  5. Pipe small circles onto the prepared sheets and let them rest for 30 minutes.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until shells are set.
  7. Prepare royal icing by mixing powdered sugar, meringue powder, and water until smooth.
  8. Once cooled, sandwich macaron shells with Sugar Cookie Buttercream and decorate using royal icing.
