  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 90 g butter (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar or vanilla extract
  • 170 g cream cheese
  • 75 g butter (room temperature)
  • 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Bloom the yeast by mixing warm milk, yeast, and sugar; let it sit until frothy (about 10 minutes).
  2. In a separate bowl, combine egg, salt, half the flour, and gradually mix in butter and remaining flour until smooth. Knead until elastic and let rise for 1.5 hours.
  3. Prepare the filling by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread filling evenly, roll up tightly, slice into 10 pieces, and shape into pumpkins using strings.
  5. Allow shaped rolls to rest for 30 minutes before baking at 350°F (180°C) for 30–40 minutes until golden brown.
  6. For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth; add powdered sugar and vanilla extract before generously frosting cooled rolls.
