  • 1 cup Crisco shortening
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp 2% milk (or cream)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 1/4 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups peaches (peeled and finely diced)
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cream together 1.5 cups sugar, Crisco shortening, eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl using an electric mixer until creamy.
