  • 2 cups macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Paprika
  • Dry mustard
  • Flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, diced onion, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix well and press into a greased baking dish.
  3. Bake the meatloaf for about 20 minutes until it starts to brown.
  4. Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  5. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and stir in flour. Gradually whisk in milk until thickened. Add salt, pepper, paprika, dry mustard, and melted cheddar cheese.
  6. Stir cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce and pour over the meatloaf in the baking dish. Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Bake again for an additional 25 minutes until bubbly.
