  • 13 ounces turkey sausage, sliced
  • 1 head broccoli florets
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Cooked white rice, for serving
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes until smooth. Reserve two-thirds of the sauce.
  2. Marinate the shrimp in the remaining sauce for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté broccoli until tender-crisp; set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, heat remaining oil and brown sliced turkey sausage for about 4-5 minutes.
  5. Add marinated shrimp to the skillet; cook until pink and opaque, about 1-2 minutes per side.
  6. Pour reserved sauce into the skillet; simmer for 3-5 minutes before adding broccoli back into the pan.
  7. Serve over cooked white rice and garnish with parsley if desired.
