  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 2/3 cup butter for caramel
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar for caramel
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • Sea salt flakes
  • Drizzled caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and brown sugar. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly. Press evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Sprinkle pecan halves over the crust.
  4. In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat until bubbling. Cook for one additional minute.
  5. Pour the hot caramel over the pecans and crust; spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top; spread them evenly after they soften.
