  • 4 cups cranberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 6 large egg yolks
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • Refrigerated pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch deep-dish pie pan.
  3. Par-bake the crust for 20 minutes (10 minutes weighted, then remove weights and bake another 10 minutes).
  4. In a saucepan, simmer cranberries with orange juice until they burst (about 5 minutes). Puree and strain to get 2 cups of cranberry mixture.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks, cranberry puree, and orange zest until smooth.
  6. Pour filling into the pre-baked crust and bake for 30-35 minutes until slightly wobbly in the center.
  7. Cool on a wire rack for two hours, then refrigerate for at least four hours before serving.
