  • 2 large chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine in a large pot of boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and onion powder. In a skillet over medium heat, melt half of the butter and cook the chicken until golden brown on both sides and fully cooked through (about 6-7 minutes per side). Remove from skillet and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter along with minced garlic, parsley, thyme, red pepper flakes (if using), chicken broth, and lemon juice. Stir well and simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Slice or shred the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet with the sauce. Toss in the cooked linguine until well coated.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
