  • 1/2 cup (60g) All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup (50g) Brown Sugar (base)
  • 1/4 cup (50g) Brown Sugar (filling)
  • 1/4 cup (57g) Melted Butter (base)
  • 1/4 cup (57g) Softened Butter (filling)
  • 1/4 tsp (1.5g) Salt
  • 1 tbsp (8g) Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup (60g) Powdered Sugar
  • 12 tbsp (15-30ml) Milk
  • 1/4 tsp (1.25ml) Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, flour, 1/4 cup brown sugar, melted butter, and salt until mixed well.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form an even layer.
  4. In another bowl, cream softened butter with remaining brown sugar and ground cinnamon until smooth.
  5. Spread the cinnamon filling over the oat base; for a decorative swirl, run a knife through both layers gently.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until edges are golden brown and center is set.
  7. While cooling, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to create a glaze.
  8. Drizzle glaze over slightly cooled bars once set; let cool completely before cutting into squares.
